Joshua Sledge is an Analyst, Innovation and Research, at the Center for Financial Services Innovation. In this position, Mr. Sledge conducts research to monitor and analyze emerging trends and innovations in the financial services industry. He is responsible for producing content for internal and external dissemination including white papers, best practice studies, and policy briefs. Mr. Sledge also works with industry partners and other constituents on a wide range of projects aimed at developing and sharing CFSI’s expertise on underbanked consumers and their use of financial services.
 
Prior to joining CFSI, Mr. Sledge was a Senior Investment Analyst at Prudential Capital Group, an investment division of Prudential Financial. In this role, he analyzed the business strategy and financial performance of middle market companies to assess their suitability for long-term, fixed rate debt investments. To support his analysis, Mr. Sledge routinely conducted extensive research that included the critical review of SEC filings and industry reports and direct engagement with senior management teams at target companies.
 
Mr. Sledge holds a B.B.A with a concentration in finance and accounting from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is currently pursuing a M.A. in Liberal Studies from the School of Continuing Studies at Northwestern University.
