Arjan Schütte
Arjan serves as a Senior Advisor to CFSI, after acting as an Associate Director for five years. He is the Managing Partner of Core Innovation Capital, launched by CFSI in 2009. Core Innovation Capital (managed by Core Venture Capital) invests in innovative companies serving underbanked consumers in a growing, inefficient and underserved marketplace. While at CFSI, Arjan played a central role in CFSI’s strategy and growth and managed CFSI’s investment activities.
He serves on the board of directors for RentBureau (as observer) and IndieEnergy, and actively advises and supports CFSI’s portfolio companies. He has been cited in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, BusinessWeek and the American Banker and is regularly invited to speak at conferences and lecture at universities including at Harvard, MIT and Yale.

Prior to joining CFSI in 2004, he held senior software management roles for 10 years. He consulted for clients such as Bank of America, Intel, and Target and in 2000, Arjan co-founded and served as CEO to DoTheGood, Inc., a philanthropy management company, which marketed online workplace giving software to clients including 3M, St. Paul Travelers, and Wells Fargo, and created an outsourced donor-advised fund platform for mid-market asset managers.
He earned an MS from the Media Laboratory at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in Philosophy and Communication at Lewis & Clark College.
